“Before Echo” is the follow-up to the narrative and introspection that began with “HERE”, the audio-visual introduction to the universe of FEF by artist/musician Aristomenis Theodoropoulos, which was released in the form of vinyl and was presented at the artist’s 1st solo exhibition, in the autumn of 2018.
The book includes 46 drawings, divided into 23 pairs which lean towards minimalism and abstraction, both in their technique, which combines automatic writing and automatic drawing, with black paint on paper serving as the sole medium, as well as in the thematic abstraction, reflected by the work’s connection with the ancient myth of the nymph Echo.
