The album tracks vary in style and direction, which displays the group’s vast array of interest in many forms of music. Most compositions were recorded in one take and most of the recordings were initiated by percussionist Jeff Mills and bassist Jino Hino, then joined soon after by Gerald Mitchell and Yumiko Ohno.
