With songs that seem to deal in the grit and dirt of being, this is songwriter Jason Molina’s fourth and most dynamic and empassioned full-length album to date. Here, the avant-garde tones of Arab Strap and other influences are absorbed into Molina’s songwriting to create what would become the archetypal Songs: Ohia sound.
